Derk Jan Eppink, MEP and member of the committee on economic and monetary affairs in the European Parliament.
Eppink, former journalist for the Belgian newspaper de Standaard and the Dutch NRC Handelblad, is familiar with the dynamics of the EU Institutions. He was a staff member of the EU Commissioners cabinet of Kallas and Bolkestein, before he was elected as MEP in 2009.
